MX Physical Therapy is now ATI Physical Therapy

January 26, 2013

ATI Physical Therapy has acquired MX Physical Therapy’s four outpatient rehabilitation clinics in Delaware. The clinics in Wilmington, Newark, Bear and Rehoboth Beach opened as ATI Physical Therapy on Jan. 2.

The history of MX Physical Therapy dates back to 1945 and the establishment of the Delaware Curative Workshop, the state’s first outpatient physical therapy centers, founded in response to the polio epidemic and the influx of injured World War II veterans.

“ATI is proud to provide the resources to ensure a strong future for these well-respected clinics,” said Dylan Bates, president and chief operating officer, ATI Physical Therapy. “We are committed to continue the patient-focused tradition of providing the highest quality of care in a friendly and motivating environment.”

Known for exceptional results, the motivating staff at ATI provides personalized treatment plans in an upbeat and fun atmosphere. The state-of-the-art clinics are welcoming and attractive. ATI provides complimentary injury screenings, transportation services for those with medical need and new appointments within 48 hours.

“On behalf of the team at MX Physical Therapy, we are excited about our future with ATI,” said Ed Miersch, owner of MX Physical Therapy. “Their focus is always on quality patient care and professional growth, two primary reasons we are so comfortable joining their impressive organization.”

Founded in 1996, ATI currently operates more than 200 clinics nationwide, including 24 in Delaware. ATI has been named Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation by Advance Rehab Magazine and has achieved URAC Core Accreditation, a mark of distinction that recognizes ATI’s commitment to quality health care.

Among ATI's continually expanding services are specialty clinics for women's healthcare needs (ATI Women's Health); on-site athletic training services for universities, high schools, clubs and professional athletic teams; a F.I.R.S.T. work conditioning program that has successfully returned more than 9,000 injured workers to their careers; and the ATI Foundation, a nonprofit organization which provides funding and resources to physically impaired children.  For more information, go to www.ATIpt.com.
