Short's Marine hires Randy Sharrock as sales manager

Short’s Marine has hired a new sales manager, Randy Sharrock, a veteran who has spent more than 20 years in automotive sales.

Don Short said, “We have been looking for the right person to fill the position, and Randy seems to be a good fit for us. He’s energetic and a good people person. So I’m excited about the spring market because he adds new depth to our staff, and we have a lot of new products coming.”

While boats are new to Sharrock, business is business. “The one thing that remains constant in all businesses is the fact that customers just want to be treated right. So whether it’s boats or our archery department, if you treat folks right, they will support you. Our customers are priority No. 1 because they can buy a boat anywhere. But they cannot go just anywhere and get the level of service that Short’s provides. They’ve been here since 1949 and it’s because they do a lot of things right. I’m very happy to now be a part of what they do. They’re good at it,” said Sharrock.
