February 1, 2013

A once-a-year opportunity arrives Saturday, Feb. 9, when the Milton Arts Guild's annual Winter Art Fair comes to the Milton Fire Hall.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the hall will host a talented and award-winning group of artists from Milton and beyond, showing their current work and making themselves available to chat with visitors. The artists include oil, acrylic and watercolor painters as well as photographers and mixed-media artists. Besides the original artwork, many of the artists offer prints or notecards for sale, providing opportunities for budget-friendly ownership of quality pieces.

Admission is free; the arts guild will offer snacks and beverages to welcome the visitors.

The Milton Fire Hall is at 116 Front St., at the intersection of Union and Federal streets in historic downtown Milton. There is plenty of free parking. The show is on the second floor, which is handicapped accessible. For more information, call the Milton Chamber of Commerce at 302-684-1101.
