Francis W. Halliday, Atlantic Aviation retiree
Francis W. "Frank" Halliday, 87, of Lewes, and formerly of New Castle, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013. Frank was born Oct. 24, 1925 the son of the late Herbert Halliday and Hazel Halliday Dannaker.
He retired from Atlantic Aviation in 1984 and then relocated to Lewes, where he enjoyed spending time at the beach, doing carpentry and watching Orioles baseball. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Herbert, Stanley and Eugene Halliday; and by his great-grandson, David Halliday III.
Frank is survived by his sons, Stevan Halliday (Regina Dallago), David Halliday (Karen); and his grandson, David Halliday II ( Michelle).
A funeral service will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints' Cemetery.
