Jacob "Jake" P. Boyce III, 74, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Darby, Pa., son of the late Jacob P. Boyce II and Doris (Flounders) Boyce.

Jake enjoyed a 36-year career with Boeing in Essington, Pa. as an Inspector, retiring in 2002. An avid bowler and golfer, Jake participated on the Boeing bowling and golf leagues. He was a member of the WAW Union Local 1069 for many years.

He was president of his bowling league, Millsboro 55, a member of the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge in Lewes, a volunteer at Beebe Medical Center in the cardiac rehabilitation area and enjoyed his time assisting his wife in a special charity, Kinfolk.  And let's not forget his years as a fireman in the Darby fire station.

Jake loved cooking, especially baking for family and friends. He was famous for his "cool and refreshing" cocktails and banana nut bread!  Jake enjoyed travelling with his wife Terri; their most memorable excursion was to Italy.  He was a member of the Long Neck and Bayside travel clubs and Suzanne's Sensational Seniors. Jake was a witty man, with an enormous sense of humor and a tremendous love for his family and friends. He will be remembered s a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Theresa "Terri" Bradley; four sons: Jay Boyce and wife Maryann of Colmar, Pa., Michael Boyce and wife Joanne of Middletown, Matthew Boyce and wife Barbara of Glenolden, Pa. and Stephen Bradley of Aston, Pa.; three daughters: Suzanne Small and husband Bill of Birdsboro, Pa., Tina Cortese and husband Al of West Chester, Pa. and Kristin Silvestri and husband Lou of Wallingford, Pa.;  eight granddaughters:  Heather, Karen, Brianna, Carrie, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Kelly and Brigid; and five grandsons:  Jacob, Matthew, Christopher, Joe and Lou Jr.
