William Francis Magargal, retired manager

William Francis Magargal, 70, of Lewes, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.  He was born in Wilmington, Aug. 18, 1942, son of the late Everett Magargal and Mary (Pierce) Magargal.

Mr. Magargal was a graduate of Conrad High School and the University of Delaware. He retired in 1996 after 30 years of service as a regional manager for the Department of Probation, Kent and Sussex County Offices.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Magaral was predeceased by his brother, Everett E. Magargal Jr.; and sisters Mary Graybeal and Gale Fletcher.

Mr. Magargal is survived by his wife of 13 years, Juliet Hoopes Margargal; daughter Karen Supers and husband Robert of Hudson, Wisc.; stepdaughter Michele Bove of Myrtle Beach, N.C.; sister Helen Christian of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; brother-in-law John Graybeal of Bonita Springs, Fla.; four stepchildren: Sharon Moran of Boston, Mass., Leonard Hoopes of Chester, Pa., Glenn Hoopes of Media, Pa. and Kimberlee Creighton of Elmer, N.J.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
