Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary to host Valentine's Day Dinner Dance Feb. 9
The Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary will be holding its first Sweethearts Dinner Dance at Station 2, near Nassau Bridge, Saturday, Feb. 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Delicious Italian fare, including pasta and meat entrées, salad, desserts, iced tea and coffee will be offered. The event is BYOB and will also feature a DJ and raffles.
Newly elected Auxiliary President Pat Jones emphasized that the event is not just for couples. “We are just providing an event to eat delicious food, dance and have fun. Our auxiliary has grown recently in numbers and enthusiasm. So we plan our fundraising activities with the emphasis on fun, but our goal is to continue to give back to our community.”
Tickets are $15 each with tables of 10 discounted at $130. Tickets are available now. Contact Marcia Esposito at lfdaux@gmail.com or 302-329-9396.
Since 1796, citizens of Lewes have stepped forward to join the ranks of the town's volunteer fire service. For 200 years the association has been filled with men and women wanting to serve others. Since 2009, the LFD once again boasts an auxiliary which maintains the same mission: to serve.
