The Galleries at 20 Baltimore Avenue add artist Karen Apostolico and new Amandeline Gallery
The Galleries at 20 Baltimore Avenue announce the addition of artist Karen Apostolico and the Amandeline Gallery to the Celebration Mall.
Karen Apostolico, formely of Caroline's Cottage, has exhibited and sold her work at Rehoboth Art League, Cape Artists and St. Peter’s annual art show. Her colorful acrylic paintings on canvas and wood feature local beach and farm scenes as well as Italian landscapes and florals. Apostolico will have a working studio/gallery where she can share with visitors the experience of her paintings from conception through final brushstroke.
The addition of Amandeline Gallery to The Galleries at 20 Baltimore Avenue brings an interesting and exciting combination of talent from internationally acclaimed artists as well as emerging local artists. Owner and Director Jeanne Ponko brings her experience of 30 years in the art business, first as an art consultant working in conjunction with interior designers and more recently as a retail art gallery owner.
Now in its seventh year in downtown Rehoboth Beach, Amandeline Gallery primarily exhibits original works, including oil and acrylic paintings, hand-blown glass pieces, ceramics and textile goods. The mission of Amandeline Gallery is to encourage customers to live with artwork , so every day includes an appreciation of the beauty and inspiration that art can bring to one's world.
The gallery shows how to combine art with furnishings, tableware, floral and other interior design elements to create a comfortable, yet stimulating atmosphere. It also offers professional custom-framing services.
The Galleries at 20 Baltimore Avenue invites the public to Mosaic's Second Saturday Art Walk to view the new galleries from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9.
Decadent desserts will be served for tasting and available for sale prepared exclusively by pastry chef and artist Mary Gaffney. The gallery will also be giving away free hand-painted tumblers to early visitors.
