Jordan great opportunity for Republican Party

February 17, 2013

It is time for the Republican Party in Delaware to fully embrace all of its citizens. The opportunity to do so, at least in part, will take place Saturday, April 27, at the State Republican Committee’s annual state convention in Wilmington.

It will be at that time Nelly Jordan, a Hispanic citizen who lives in Sussex County and is the chairperson for the 20th Representative District of the Republican Party, will be officially placed before the party faithful and will ask them for their vote to elect her to be the vice chair of the party.

Without a doubt Nelly is highly qualified for the position and deserving of such an opportunity. But the issue really isn’t Nelly. She has proven her self over and over again as a Hispanic woman who loves this country and state. She has faithfully served the party for a number of years and seeks to continue to serve it as it’s vice chair.

The question is simply this, will the Delaware Republican Party do the courageous and right thing and take advantage of the great opportunity that is being placed before them and elect this highly qualified servant who happens to be both a woman and Hispanic to the second highest seat in the state party?

If one had to brave an answer, the reply would have to be yes. It is a great opportunity for a great party, in a great state in a great country with a great candidate for the party vice chair who will represent all of our citizens in Nelly Jordan.
