Mid Atlantic Wine + Food Festival's Southern Exposure to host events March 8-9

February 21, 2013

The MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival will travel south to celebrate fine wine, gourmet food and premium spirits in the heart of Delaware’s Culinary Coast.

Bourbon + Bacon South happens from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 8, at Nage in Rehoboth. The event is the perfect pairing of pork and potent potables, as small-batch bourbons are poured and paired with delectable parts of the pig. Bourbon experts will lead a tasting journey, uncovering some of America’s finest bourbons. Price is $50.

In Sundowner Wine + Appetizers from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 9, Donna and Steve Hadley open their beautifully decorated home overlooking Rehoboth Bay for a Sundowner, the South African name for a beverage enjoyed at the completion of the day. This wine and appetizer pairing brings together six appetizers with six unique South African wines. Price is $60.

There’s something to satiate every curiosity or appetite at this year’s event, all while raising funds for nine Delaware arts organizations. Tickets to these events at the beach are now available for purchase at midatlanticwineandfood.com.
