
Four elementary-age students from Worcester Prep’s Chess Team competed in the 2013 Tournament at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center. Pranay Sanwal of Lewes, a third-grade student at Worcester Preparatory School, captured first place in the Elementary Division of the 2013 Chess Tournament held Feb. 9 at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, Md.
Pranay achieved a perfect score in his chess matches. He is a member of the Worcester Prep Chess Club and also practices chess at home against his father. He is the son of Dr. Pankaj Sanwal and Dr. Vibha Sanwal.
