Sussex Tech honors math teacher Glenn Heuring

Math instructor Glenn Heuring of Lewes has been named Staff Member of the Month for February 2013 at Sussex Technical High School.
In making the announcement, Supervisor of Support Services Dr. Amelia Hodges, left, commended Heuring for his willingness to take over as chairman of the Math Department midway through the year. She also commended his expertise and patience in mentoring new math instructors at Sussex Tech.
Heuring came to Sussex Tech in 2000. He earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics and mathematics instruction at Delaware State University and a master's degree in leadership and instruction from Wilmington University. He teaches advanced placement and higher-level math classes at Sussex Tech.
