Rehoboth Elementary School was awarded a banner and medals by Lt. Gov. Matt Denn for its 2012 Reward, Recognition and Distinguished Title I Schools and Schools of Continued Excellence Feb. 21. The awards, formerly called the Academic Achievement Awards, recognize the school and students for their performance on the state tests.

RES was one of the 17 schools in the state to receive the honor including Richard A. Shields Elementary and Beacon Middle School. Prior to the presentation of the awards, Denn recognized the teachers, staff, parents and the fourth and fifth grade students in attendance at the assembly for their hard work throughout the year.
