Carl 'Dick' Niblett Sr., Townsends supervisor

Carl E. "Dick" Niblett Sr., 83, of Georgetown, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Carl was born in Delmar, Md., the son of the late William H. and Lulu M. (Fletcher) Niblett. He was a supervisor for Townsends, retiring in 1992. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris Webb Niblett; a son, Carl E. "Dickie" Niblett Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Casual attire requested. Entombment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
