The Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary hosted Court Appointed Special Advocate Lauren Brueckner, right, shown with club Program Chair Dan Payne at its March meeting.
A CASA serves as court guardian for abused and neglected children who come before the court and is appointed through an order executed by a Family Court judge. He or she is charged with representing the best interests of the child and is a full party to court proceedings.
