The sound of bagpipes and drums echoed through downtown Milton March 10 as the sixth annual St. Patrick's Day Parade made its way past hundreds of green-wearing spectators on Union and Federal streets. Whether they were Irish or not, families lined the streets of historic Milton to catch a glimpse of leprechauns, four-leaf clovers and all things Irish.
Taking top prize for best float was Seth the Highway Dancer Bratten, who showed off his moves on a flatbed through the entire parade route. Winning the children's division was the Techno Goober float, featuring Jacob Hunter pulling a Ford pickup with his miniature truck and Robbie Payton on the float playing Whac-a-mole with his fellow passengers.
Proceeds from the parade benefited the Milton Fire Department training program, Best Buddies Delaware and Casa San Francisco.
