The Cape boys' lacrosse team hosted a trifecta of talented teams March 9 in its first play day of the spring sports season. Worcester Prep from Maryland, Ridgewood from New Jersey and Penncrest from Pennsylvania each made their way to Lewes for three scrimmages each at Legends Stadium and turf field two.
The Vikings field a team this spring with many familiar faces. Only five players were lost to graduation last spring, so much of coach Jack Lingo's team remains intact.
Cape will host Kent Island in another scrimmage Tuesday, March 12. The Vikings' last warmup is slated for Tuesday, March 19, at home against Stephen Decatur before the team travels to Milford Friday, March 22, to open the season against the Bucs.
