Rip Tide Martial Arts sent five adult competitors to compete in the North American Grappling Association’s Philadelphia Championships Feb. 2. Head instructor Shawn Bodio won both his NO-GI Expert Division and then the Brown/Black Belt division, submitting all of his opponents. Assistant instructor Dalton Tyndall had an impressive performance, triangling one of his opponents, which earned him the chance to fight in the finals, where he earned a second-place finish. Harry Metcalfe and Bob Uffelman competed in the same division and won first and second, respectively, after eliminating all of their opponents leading up to their finals match. Bryant Bundick had an impressive performance with five fights in his division, one of the deepest divisions of the day.
