RSCT to offer Champagne Dessert Concert fundraiser March 22

March 13, 2013

Delightful music, tasty desserts and sparkling refreshments will help kick off the 32nd season of the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre. The Champagne Dessert Concert will feature the musical talents of Sheridan Seyfried and Ya-Jhu Yang. Their 45-minute concert will be followed by a reception featuring confections and glasses of bubbly.

The gala program begins at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 22, at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Seyfried and Yang will perform a combination of classical and popular music on piano, violin and flute. This husband-and-wife team holds master's degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, and both have studied composition at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, Pa. Delaware audiences are familiar with Seyfried's performance and composing skills from his years as the director of the Lewes Chamber Music Festival.

This program is free and open to the public. While there is no charge for the event, patrons are encouraged to make a tax-deductible contribution to support the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre. Since 1982, RSCT has thrilled family audiences with unique, imaginative productions of classic stories. The company also maintains an active program in creative dramatics for youth, conducting a variety of camps and workshops.

Reservations for the Champagne Dessert Concert are encouraged. Those interested can contact RSCT at 302-227-6766 or respond at www.rehobothchildrenstheatre.org.
