Matthew B. Brockway, enjoyed writing
Matthew Brian Brockway, 39, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center, in Lewes.
He was born Nov. 23, 1973, in Lewes, son of the late Douglas Wayne Brockway Sr. and Peggy Jean Polite Truitt. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Douglas Wayne Brockway Jr. in 1987.
Matthew enjoyed writing, spending time with children and being around his family. He especially loved studying and learning about dolphins.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother Jeremy Brockway and his wife Rachel and their children Dean and Elke of Lewes; his sister Missy Walls and her husband John and their children Sarah, Zach, Jed and Noah of Lewes; his uncles Richard Brockway of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Don Polite of Lewes; and his aunts, Teri Ysaguirre of Milford and Debbie Stearns of Aiken, S.C.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where family and friends may call beginning at noon.
Burial will follow the services at All Saints' Cemetery, Beaver Dam Road near Angola.
