March 27, 2013

Fighting a two-front war against heresy internally and persecution externally, the Christian church has emerged as the most successful phenomenon ever to appear on Earth. How was this possible?

Renowned author and historian Dr. Paul Maier will present an educational seminar from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 18, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20275 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach. Topics covered include The Early Church, The Medieval Church, The Reformation Era, and Modern Christianity.

Maier is the Russell H. Seibert Professor of Ancient History emeritus at Western Michigan University and the author of many nonfiction works on church history, as well as several novels, including "A Skeleton in God’s Closet."

The cost is $15 per adult and $10 per youth aged 13-18. This includes lunch, snacks and materials. This seminar is open to the public, regardless of church affiliation.

For more information or to register, go to www.lcosrehoboth.org or call the church office, 302-227-3066. Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 1.
