Rehoboth Beach Holiday Inn becomes Hospitality Program sponsor for Clean the World

March 27, 2013

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals group has announced the Rehoboth Beach Holiday Inn is now a Hospitality Program sponsor for Clean the World.

Clean the World is a nonprofit organization that partners with hospitality businesses to collect, recycle and distribute soap and hygiene products to children worldwide. Used bars of soap are collected by Clean the World’s Hospitality Partners and sent to the nonprofit where they are melted down, sterilized and repackaged for distribution. These hygiene products are sent to regions of the world where soap can save the lives of thousands of children.

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach chamber of Commerce Young Professionals have teamed up with Clean the World in an attempt to bring the local hotels under the Clean the World umbrella. The Rehoboth Beach Holiday Inn is the first hotel in the Rehoboth BeachDewey Beach resort area to join in their efforts. The chamber YPs look forward to continued growth of the program.

The Young Professionals meet the second Thursday of every month at local restaurants to discuss ways to positively impact the Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach communities. The group’s mission is to bring together talents and insights of emerging young professionals, ages 21-39, in a dynamic and diverse group of peers with a passion for making a difference, a willingness to learn, the desire to build important relationships and the energy to get involved in the community.
