NAACP Youth learn about healthy eating from chef Pamela Salisbury

The Lower Sussex NAACP Youth Council No. 2719 held a healthy food preparation demonstration April 1 at Milton Public Library.

Chef Pamela Salisbury taught members to use fresh ingredients to make salsa, salads and fruit tarts. She also explained the importance of using fresh herbs and spices when cooking. The event was part of the unit’s 2013 Project HELP - Healthy Eating, Lifestyles and Physical activity campaign.
