Nationally recognized authors to appear April 12 at Proud Bookstore

April 8, 2013

Friday, April 12 will be a banner day for readers and writers at Proud Bookstore in Rehoboth Beach. Eleven authors, including multi-award-winning novelist Georgia Beers ("96 Hours") and a host of published authors from the Golden Crown Literary Society, will be on hand for a meet and greet, plus readings and signings.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proud Books is on Baltimore Avenue.

The authors represent a cross section of genres, including thrillers like Laury Egan’s "Jenny Kidd," humor from Fay Jacobs, and tales of don’t ask, don’t tell military life from K.A. Kron ("Shades of Gray"), plus mystery and romance writers.

Beers will be reading from her latest fiction, "Slices of Life," along with readings by hometown published authors Jo Hamilton ("For the Love of Scott"), Nicole Sachs ("The Meaning of Truth") and memoirist J. Lee Watton ("Out of Step").

Traveling to Rehoboth for the event will be Golden Crown authors Liz Bradbury (Maggie Gale mystery/romance novels), Diane DeKalb Rittenhouse ("Immortal Longings"), Rose Carbinela ("Romance: Mild to Wild"), poet D.K. Hawk and literary agent Joan Timberlake.

This event is part of the CAMP Rehoboth Women’s FEST to be held April 11-14. For more information go to www.camprehoboth.com.
