Volunteer Orientation Day set April 6 at DuPont Nature Center

April 5, 2013

The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve in Milford will host its annual Volunteer Orientation Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 6, at the center.

Perched on the edge of Mispillion Harbor at the confluence of the Mispillion River and Cedar Creek, the DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve, a Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Division of Fish and Wildlife facility, regularly offers a variety of interactive exhibits, school tours and educational programs.

Volunteers are needed to interact with visitors, assist with tours and educational programs, attend outreach events to promote the center, and assist with maintaining the center’s live tanks and caring for their aquatic inhabitants, which typically include a variety of fish, crabs, turtles and other species native to the Delaware Bay.

Volunteers interested in attending the orientation are asked to RSVP by Friday, April 5. To RSVP, or for more information, contact Colleen Holstein at 302-422-1329 or email colleen.holstein@state.de.us.
