DELAWARE BEERS FEATURED DURING WEEK LONG CELEBRATION
The Pickled Pig Pub to Host First State Brewers and Their Products
Rehoboth Beach, DE – It may be small in size, but Delaware hosts a big number of craft breweries. Delaware currently ranks 15th out of the 50 continental states for number of breweries per capita. While craft beer is no secret to self proclaimed “beer geeks”, many people are entering the growing network of craft beer lovers for the first time. The First State is responsible for some of the mid-atlantic area’s finest examples.
Starting Monday, April 8th, The Pickled Pig Pub in Rehoboth Beach will be hosting their fourth annual Delaware Beer Week. It kicks off with Monday’s Home Brewers Meet Up – a gathering of people who enjoy brewing and discussing all styles of craft beer. Fourteen tap handles will be dedicated to beer made locally. Every day will feature several styles from the featured brewery, as well as a meet and greet with the brewer on selected days. They are coming to do what they do best – talk great beer and share their passion with people who enjoy drinking great beer.
The Pub will also offer inspired food pairings to compliment the beers of the day.
The line up includes 16 Mile (Georgetown), Dogfish Head (Milton & Rehoboth Beach), Stewart’s Brewing Company (Bear), Fordham-Old Dominion (Dover) and Twin Lakes (Greenville). The week will conclude on Sunday, April 14th with “Kick the Keg” specials Delaware style, featuring select drafts for $3.02 in honor of the state area code. Approximately two years ago, the Delaware Department of Tourism announced the debut of the “Delaware Wine & Ale Trail”, designed to guide people to the wineries and breweries located throughout the state. During Delaware Beer Week at The Pub, no cross country driving is required to try the great products that the First State has to offer.
The Pickled Pig Pub opened four years ago and is dedicated to bringing a wide variety of beers to the beach area. Smaller, sample sizes are offered to encourage trying different styles. The Pub is open seven days a week at 11a.m. Lunch & dinner served daily.
