April 14, 2013

It's flocking season again. Lewes Girl Scouts in Troop 1482 and Troop 1485 are continuing a fundraiser they started last September with the aid of a flock of plastic, pink flamingos. They will be placing the plastic flock around town to raise money toward of a goal of $54,000 for a 2016 trip to Europe to make good on a promise by Troop Leader Janet Maher.
She told the girls when they started scouting in kindergarten if they stayed together until they were seniors in high school, she would arrange the trip of a lifetime to Europe.

To flock someone for $25, phone Maher at 302-258-3327.
Because of the popularity of holiday events, flockings are $100 for three days during Mother's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.
