The Holly Branch, National League of American Pen Women, is honored to be the first group to present a fine art exhibit at the new Dover Public Library since it was built and opened its doors in September 2012.

The first Artistic Excellence Young People’s Scholarship Art Exhibit and Presentation Ceremony will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at the Dover Public Library, 35 Loockerman Plaza, Dover.

The artwork of the top 12 award-winning students in art, music and creative writing, as well as several professional artists' work, including Victor Letonoff, Dr. Donald Parks, Professor Lon Fluman Jr., Martha Hudson, local professional sculptor Bob Grimmett and others will be displayed.

The cash awards and prizes will be presented to the winning students, starting at 2 p.m., in the multipurpose room of the library. Light refreshments will be provided.  This event is free and open to the public.

A fall/winter 2013 Holly Branch, NLAPW Fine Art Exhibit is planned at the library as well. It will be open to male and female artists.
