Delaware Beer Week Line Up is Set

- Private group -
April 7, 2013

It’s that time again, Delaware Beer Week. Starting Monday April 8th through Sunday April 14th, The Pickled Pig Pub will feature all things Delaware Beer in honor of our opening in April of 2009!  Our jam packed line up includes:

Monday April 8th - all 14 taps will be taken over by Brews made right here in Delaware. At 6:00pm we are inviting local Home-Brewers to talk about brewing small batches of beer & tasting some of the fruits of their labor.

Tuesday April 9th -  we are welcoming Fordham & Old Dominion from Dover, DE. In the last year these two breweries combined have brewed some of the most exciting beer in Delaware. With the addition of their Old Dominion “Bomber” series including Double D, Morning Glory & Fordham’s new Rams Head IPA they have proved that they are the Delaware  brewery to watch.

Wednesday April 10th - we are spotlighting Twin Lakes from Greenville, DE, brewed on the scenic Twin Lakes Farm in Delaware’s Brandywine Valley. Twin Lakes have been producing small batch quality beers since 2003 & have started canning their popular Greenville Pale Ale.

Thursday April 11th -  we are featuring 16 Mile from Georgetown, DE, the county seat for Sussex County. 16 Mile has been deeply rooted in their community since opening in 2010. Their Collaboration Brews for a Good Cause has raised money for a plethora of local charities. It has been fun watching them become one of the fastest growing Delaware breweries.

Friday April 12th - we are lucky enough to bring you Stewart’s Brewing Company from Bear, DE. New Castle County’s first Brew Pub, opened in 1995 & has been bringing medals back to Delaware from GABF, the most prestigious beer festival in the country since 2000. Stewart’s normally only brews their beer for the brew pub, but is sending us 5 different styles to help us celebrate Delaware Beer Week.  Brewer Ric Hoffman will be on hand to lift a pint or two and answer any questions you may have about his amazing brews.

Saturday April 13th - this day brings us to one of the Country’s most exciting craft breweries. Dogfish Head opened the Rehoboth Beach, DE brewpub in 1995 & outgrew the small system by 2003 when they opened their Milton, DE production brewery. Dogfish Head brews over 30 different beers every year & we are excited to bring you 14 different draft offerings, from fresh IPA’s to amazingly complex experimental brews.

Sunday April 14th - the last day of Delaware Beer Week, you can help us "Kick the Keg" Delaware style with selected Delaware Beers that cost only $3.02 (in tribute to Delaware’s only area code). We will also be offering our normal Sunday Happy Hour Specials in the bar area from 11:00am till 6:00pm reducing any other beers on tap by $1 along with our other awesome food & beer specials.

We are excited to share all of these fantastic locally made beers paired with our kitchen’s amazing food. It will certainly make for an fun week of beer, food & friends.

Cheers.
