The Galleries at 20 Baltimore to show The Colours of Tuscany

Reception 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 13
April 10, 2013

The Galleries at 20 Baltimore invite all for a little food, a little vino and a lot of great art from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday April 13.

This month’s gallery event for The Galleries at 20 Baltimore in Rehoboth Beach will focus on the extraordinary scenes from Italy’s countryside filled with rolling hills and vineyards, Venice’s Grand Canal, and the peaceful fishing harbors of the Amalfi coast.  Works in the show travel over and around the warm tones of stucco, brick and clay to the coolness of the blue Mediterranean and the lush green vineyards.

Through the art of Karen Apostolico, visitors will be taken on a visual journey to the city streets of Siena and Pisa and then stroll into the market square for some shopping.

Potter Susan Gladstone has created a beautiful and functional casserole pan for lasagna and Amandeline Gallery will add original oil paintings of the Tuscan landscape as well as a few vintage Italian posters to complete the display. In addition, WibergArt Gallery is featuring a solo exhibit, La Cucina Italiano, by artist Joyce Blakeslee. Two gallery artists have baked a family favorite recipe for biscotti and Touch of Italy has graciously supported the evening by preparing an antipasto for all to enjoy.
