Junior Girl Scout Troop 65 raises funds for SPCA

April 20, 2013

Junior Girl Scout Troop 65 has been working all year to earn the Bronze Award, which is the highest award that can be earned at this age level. Requirements for earning the Bronze Award include planning, preparing and following through with a project or service that makes a difference to the community. Troop 65 chose the Georgetown Chapter of the Delaware SPCA as an organization to assist.

Members  recently attended an adoption event at Concord Pet Foods and Supplies in Rehoboth Beach.  Each girl was responsible for baking goods to be sold at the event. The funds were donated to the SPCA. The troop also assisted with greeting customers and helping with the animals that were up for adoption.

Standing are (l-r) Marissa Hawtof, Brandi Anderson, Natalie Mitchell, Sylvie Elliott and Autumn Davis. Kneeling in front are Grace Miller and Savannah Stewart.
