Rhea Wallace, Social Security retiree

Rhea Wallace of Dover passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Harrison House in Georgetown. Rhea was born April 28, 1922, in Marlinton, W.Va., to the late Albert and Sylvia (Wentz) Curry.

She had worked for the Social Security administration for many years before retiring. She had attended church and was a hospital volunteer while living in Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Freeman Wallace, in 1979. Rhea is survived by her son, Charles Wallace of Harbeson; daughter, Sherry Shuman of Dover; a sister, Rachel Cleek of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, John Curry of Perry, Fla., and Sam Curry of Harrodsburg, Ky.; and four grandchildren, Randy, Matt, Melissa and Katie; and great-grandchildren, Creed, Alex, Hunter, Cortney, William, Phebe, Gavin, Theia and Jacob.

Services will be held privately.
