Acclaimed author and speaker to keynote at mother-daughter retreat May 31

May 4, 2013

Nancy Rue, an in-demand speaker and author of 110 fiction and nonfiction books for readers of all ages will lead the 2013 Fruitbearer Mother-Daughter Retreat Friday and Saturday, May 31-June 1 at the Atlantic Sands Hotel in Rehoboth Beach.

Rue addresses pertinent issues that parents and their children face today. Her career has been an impressive Christian outreach through novels, children's and teens' books series, parenting guides, and teaching and speaking events and tours. She is the winner of multiple Christy Awards - the Oscars of Christian book publishing - most recently for the mainstream novel "The Reluctant Prophet" published by David C. Cook, the tween series books "The Whole Guy Thing" and "Limos, Lattes and My Life on the Fringe," published by Zondervan; and a nonfiction book written with her husband, "What Happened to My Little Girl: A Dad’s Guide to His Teen Daughter."

Besides inspiring the relationships and faith journeys of parents and their children, Rue furthers her own spiritual pursuit as a student of the Academy For Spiritual Foundation sponsored by the Upper Room.
