Atlantic Transportation on the move

Atlantic Transportation's Steve Montgomery, Chip Thompson and Tyrone Gales say they plan to grow their new limousine service beyond weddings and proms to provide elite transportation services and personal drivers to the Cape Region.

"It's been Atlantic Transportation since day one," said Montgomery, also owner of The Starboard. "This thing encompasses any and all forms of transportation including local and airport runs."

Since they bought into the business in March, Montgomery and Thompson said they have already added a 12-passenger Mercedes Sprinter coach van to a fleet of nine vehicles ranging from a Lincoln Towncar sedan that will accommodate three passengers to a 27-person limo-bus available for group travel.

The owners said they plan to make the chauffeured transportation service available for nights out and bachelor parties, sporting events and casino trips and various other activities, all the while maintaining the same customized service they would provide for a wedding party.

"Between all three of us, we know people in any area that could use this service, and we have a connection," Montgomery said. "We are connecting our clientele, and we are going give them the best possible service."

Spending the last 20 years as a professional driver and owner of a limousine service, Gale is a seasoned pro on this new team.

With his background as a driver, Gale said he knows his chauffeurs can provide more than just a a taxi ride by stepping up to accommodate their clients.

"We're always there to help, not just sit around and hold the wheel at events, and I think that will be the difference with this service," he said.

What's most important for new clientele to understand, Thompson said, is that Atlantic Transportation is here to provide upscale transportation capabilities premium customer service is the standard.

"Atlantic will always go the extra mile," he said.
