Grace Church to host Kids' Extravaganza May 17 to 19 in Milton

May 5, 2013

A Kids' Extravaganza weekend is coming to Grace Church in Milton from Friday to Sunday, May 17-19. The church is at 514 Union St. (Route 5), one-quarter mile south of Broadkill Road (Route 16), in Milton.

The whole family is invited to join in the kickoff on Friday evening. Starting with carnival games from 6-8 p.m., kids can try their hand at the games and redeem their tickets at the prize table. This will be followed by an outdoor movie at 8:30 p.m. A bounce house will also be a part of the fun.

Saturday, May 18, includes a time of singing, games and learning how to put on the armor that God provides for the spiritual battle described in Ephesians 6. The theme is taken from verses 10-11: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Kids will be able to take home a visual representation of the armor so they can remember all six pieces.

Registration for children up through fifth grade will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the activities will start at 9 a.m. Parents may observe the activities or plan to pick up their children at 1 p.m.

Sunday May 19, the kids will have the chance to present what they have learned in the combined worship service at Grace Church. The service is at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a potluck lunch in the fellowship hall.

There is no cost for any of the events of the weekend. To know more, contact the church at 302-684-3580 or email gracechurchmilton@comcast.net.
