Visiting Angels of Sussex Delaware has named Tymisha Downing of Lewes its Employee Angel of the Month for April.

The home care company provides services to help seniors and disabled adults remain independent and in their own homes for a better quality of life.

Downing has been a certified nursing assistant working both private duty and in senior care facilities for more than a decade and says she now enjoys the one-on-one attention she is able to provide to care recipients in the privacy of their own homes.

David Forman, president of Visiting Angels, said, “Tymisha has shown exemplary ability and compassion to dozens of clients of all types, ranging from simple companionship to full personal care needs, and her service has generated kind praise for the agency from care recipients and their families.”

Downing is nearing her one-year anniversary with Visiting Angels and is now one of the agency’s busiest caregivers. Forman says she has several regular clients who adore her and report that their quality of life has truly improved because of her care and compassion.

Visiting Angels rewards employees based on their customer care and willingness to step in to meet the agency’s needs, even when it’s on short notice or not convenient.

“Our employees are the face and image of our company, and we’re very proud to count Tymisha among our family of excellent caregivers," Forman said.
