St. Edmond Church celebrates parish community at annual picnic

May 19, 2013

Cool temperatures did not deter members of St. Edmond Church in Rehoboth Beach from enjoying their annual picnic May 5 at Grove Park. Pastor Ray Forester was all smiles as he greeted his parishioners. The Knights of Columbus were on hand to man the grills; Eve Aldred’s ninth-grade religious education students provided games and prizes as part of their end-of-year service project.

Parishioners of all ages lunched on hot dogs, hamburgers, side dishes and desserts. Kids jumped on the moon bounce, and families pedaled around the park in bright yellow surreys. Conversation and laughter marked the beginning of the summer season as this event provided parishioners of St. Edmond with an opportunity to join together in Christian fellowship.

Ninth-graders (l-r) Morgan Catts, Paul Colucci and Lauren Kelley take a break from their service project to enjoy the food.
