Nearly 300 runners took off from Big Fish Grill April 27 to raise $4,400 for the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation. The nonprofit foundation exists to support educational opportunities for students in the Cape Henlopen School District, where 49 percent of the students are considered low-income.

Members of the administration, faculty, staff and families of Cape came out to run to support the cause. Big Fish Grill sponsored the race as part of its efforts to support students in the local community.

Shown (l-r) at the race are Cape Superintendent Robert Fulton; Michael Kelley, director of curriculum & Instruction; Cathy Petitgout, supervisor of human resources; Rebecca Lusk, Miss Cape Henlopen; Sara Wilkinson, board of education; and Ed Waples, AVID program director for the Cape district.
