Young Worcester headmaster supports animal sanctuary

May 22, 2013

Worcester Preparatory School Headmaster for the Day Cole Lamson-Reich, a Grade 4 student from Rehoboth Beach, presents a check for more than $500 to Cindy Woods of Bridgeville for the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary in Georgetown.

The sanctuary is a no-kill facility which cares for unwanted animals and tries to find them forever homes. The facility is currently collecting funds to pay for an operation to remove a tumor on the spine of a dog who has difficulty walking.

As acting headmaster, Cole allowed all students at his school to wear casual dress on his day of authority if they contributed $1 to the sanctuary.
