Cape Henlopen Food Basket says thanks

May 26, 2013

On behalf of the Cape Henlopen Food Basket volunteers and those we serve, I would like to send our thanks and gratitude to all the citizens of Lewes and Rehoboth who opened their heats and provided hundreds of bags of food for our mission. Our shelves are now, literally, filled from top to bottom.

Our local postal workers spearheaded this effort and they deserve a huge thank you, also.

During the first four month of 2013, we served a total of 1,000 households, which broken down, amounts to 2,000 adults and 900 children. So you see there is a real need in our community for your  help.

Once, again, thank you to all.
