Charitable organization KINfolk is expecting a big turnout at this year’s Eighth Annual Wine Tasting and Art Auction Wednesday, July 17 at the Cordrey Center in Millsboro. The doors will open at 5:30. Admission is $30.

KINfolk’s plans are underway to ensure the comfort and entertainment of everyone attending this year’s event. “Event attendance continues to increase significantly, so we were happy to secure an additional room at the Cordrey Center to accommodate all of our guests this year,” said Jazette Lane-English, the new executive director of the organization headquartered in Wilmington.

Among artists donating this year are Abraxas, Kevin Fleming, Ellen Rice, Ruth Valva, Marvin Carney and Nancy Katz. Longtime supporter Holland Jewelers has donated a ruby and diamond ring. The auction will also include a one-week-stay at a lovely condo on Lewes Beach. There will also be an assortment of silent auction items from local merchants.

Event Chair Kathy McNamara of Lewes is a KINfolk board member. She is asking local businesses to sponsor the event. “We are so grateful to our early sponsors for getting us off to a good start by providing sponsorships. We expect the event to be bigger and better than ever. It is particularly rewarding to be involved with this successful event knowing that the funds go to KINfolk’s Laptop Lending Programs” said McNamara.
