Meldene Gruber's piano students perform recital for family and friends

The piano students of Meldene Gruber of Rehoboth Beach were presented in recital May 19 to an audience of family and friends. After an afternoon of solos and duets, a reception followed.

Also in May, eight of the students participated in the National Piano Guild Auditions, where they performed a number of pieces to be adjudicated by a nationally approved judge. Upon completion of this event, students received the judge's report card on their performance, a certificate from the national guild and the guild pin.

Students who performed at the recital are in back (l-r) Kiru Malecdan, Taryn Wood, Sophia Masone, Nhi Le, Sean Graham and Athena Malecdan, along with teacher Meldene Gruber.

In front are Gia Pfaff, Natalie Pfaff, Mia Pfaff, Eva Cullen, Samantha Fischer, Savannah Montgomery, Leah Green, Stella Caldwell and Oliver Sachs.
