Cape French exchange trip a great success

June 10, 2013

As the school year comes to a close, I would like to thank the parents, students, sponsors, and Cape Henlopen School District personnel who have helped to make our fifth French Exchange trip a success.

Parents are responsible for fundraising and preparing our students for the exchange experience. They will also open their homes to the young French students when they come in October.

Our students proved themselves more than equal to the task of crossing the boundaries of language and culture and forging relationships with their French counterparts. The Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation (CHEF), and Liquid Surf and Skate provided us with a grant and a fundraising opportunity, respectively.

Finally, my colleagues and administrators at the high school, the district office personnel, and the members of the board continued to provide their help and support for this fantastic program. Without you all, the CHHS French Exchange would not be possible. Merci à tous!
