June 26, 2013

Tidewater Utilities Inc. has been honored with the 2012-13 Service Above Self Corporate Award from the Harrington-Greenwood-Felton Centennial Rotary Club for its commitment to community service.

Tidewater was recognized for its community support, which consists of bottled water donations, educational awards and presentations to local schools and scout troops, as well as employee-supported activities such as food drives for the local SPCA and Delaware Food Bank, Toys for Tots and its annual golf tournament which benefits local charities.

“In these economic times, Tidewater feels more than ever the importance of being a good corporate neighbor to serve our local communities where we can to build a stronger Delaware,” said Tidewater President Jerry Esposito. “We thank the Rotary for this honor and for its own ongoing efforts in promoting service to others.”

Tidewater, a wholly owned subsidiary of Middlesex Water Company, was established in 1964 and provides a wide range of water and wastewater services including consulting, contract operations and maintenance, and bulk water supply.
