Upper Crust to host reception for Lewes artist July 1

Patricia Griffin's exhibit to continue through July
June 26, 2013

The Upper Crust at 7 East Market St. in Georgetown is now exhibiting work by watercolor and acrylics artist Patricia Griffin of Lewes. Griffin’s exhibit will continue until late July. A Meet the Artist reception is scheduled for 12:30 to 2 p.m., Monday, July 1. Light refreshments will be served.

Griffin is currently the state court administrator for Delaware, working with the chief justice of the Delaware Supreme Court to administer the Delaware Courts. She was formerly the chief magistrate of the Justice of the Peace Court in Delaware, and in private practice with her husband's law firm, Griffin & Hackett P.A. in Georgetown.

Besides riding and taking care of their horses, Griffin paints as a hobby and enjoys bright, bold colors in her paintings. She was an economics and art major at Duke University and enjoys the contrast between the creativity of art and the analytical nature of the legal profession.

The Upper Crust serves made-from-scratch baked goods, fair trade organic coffee, breakfast and lunch in a casual setting. Part of The Upper Crust’s commitment to the community is to offer a gallery space to local artists who might not otherwise have an opportunity to show their works.

Contact Bruce at bruce@theuppercrust.info or 302-856-2300 to schedule a time to stop in with images of  work for approval and to possibly schedule an exhibit date.
