Ocean Medical Imaging to host reception June 28 for artist Anne Carroll
Dr. Jonathan Patterson and Kristin Patterson are hosting artist Anne Carroll from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 28, at the Ocean Medical Imaging gallery space. The show, A Retrospective of Art in Watercolor, is a must for any enthusiast of the watercolor medium.
“The artwork is so captivating, you could swear you are looking at a photograph,” says Jonathan Patterson. “We just love this show, and all of our patients tell us what a special treat it is to see such lovely paintings adorning the walls. We invite the public to drop in to see Anne’s fantastic work for themselves.”
Carroll enjoys the play between the shadows and lights of all her subjects. This show displays her portraits, landscapes and still life, and the subject matter ranges from surfing to children to classic cars. Carroll has enjoyed making art her entire life. She has recently shown throughout Maryland and now is showcasing her watercolors in Delaware.
Carroll and Ocean Medical Imaging will be raffling off some goodies during the evening including a restaurant gift certificate and some prints of Carroll’s work. “It is always a great time to get together with fellow artists and enjoy an early show, then head out to dinner in Milton. We hope to see you there,” says Kristin Patterson.
The exhibit will be up through the end of July. All work is for sale with a percentage of funds going to benefit breast cancer awareness programs.
