LYC swimmers pick up third straight victory
The Lewes Yacht Club swim team won its third straight meet June 24 with a 212-146 win over Prospect Bay swim team.
Individual winners included the following:
6 and under girls: Shelby Manlove, backstroke and freestyle; and Macy Steinwedel, breaststroke.
6 and under boys: Evan Burris, backstroke and freestyle; and Kieran Morrissey, breaststroke.
7-8 girls: Abby Betts, butterfly; Julia Rial, backstroke; and Jacqueline Thomas, breaststroke.
7-8 boys: Brian Fleming, butterfly; and Declan Morrissey, breaststroke.
9-10 boys: Michael Daniello, butterfly and freestyle; and Sammie Price, backstroke.
11-12 boys: Christopher Redefer, freestyle.
11-12 girls: Madison Buchwald, butterfly, backstroke; and Annie Christopher, breaststroke.
13-14 boys: David Hentnick, butterfly; and Matt Lionetti, backstroke.
15-18 girls: Hannah Schrock, butterfly; Kaitlin Philcox, backstroke; and Romy Stancofski, breaststroke.
15-18 boys: Billy Thomas, butterfly; Daniel Myers, backstroke; and Tyler Mitchell, breaststroke.
LYC swimmers also won eight of the 12 freestyle relays. LYC hosts Seaford Swim Association Monday, July 1, and travels to Central Delaware YMCA Monday, July 8.
