KSI receives recycling grant from DNREC

July 2, 2013

Kent-Sussex Industries Inc. has received a recycling grant from Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.

DNREC granted $20,225.25 in funding to assist KSI in expanding its recycling efforts. The purchase of nine recycling hoppers will enable these containers to be strategically located throughout KSI’s Milford facility, making accessibility more convenient for all employees. Grant funding will also partially fund the purchase of a truck suitable for hauling recycled products.

Purchase of the containers and truck will facilitate an opportunity to educate KSI staff, participants, and business partners on the importance of recycling. KSI will be able to increase recycling efforts, reduce landfill waste and help protect the environment.

KSI is a not-for-profit agency providing vocational training and employment services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties. KSI is committed to making all reasonable accommodations in order to ensure that its programs and services are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.

Donations can be mailed to KSI, attn: Alicia Hollis, 301 N. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford, DE 19963 or online by going to www.ksiinc.org and clicking on the Donate Now tab. For more information, contact Hollis at 302-422-4014, Ext. 3015 or email hollisa@ksiinc.org.
