Miss Dover Rebecca Jackson took the 2013 Miss Delaware crown June 29 at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino. Twenty-three contestants demonstrated beauty, poise, and talent to carry on the 72-year tradition.
First runner-up was Miss Mid-State Alix Hayden Gardner of Middletown. Miss Blue-Gold Angelica Nardi of New Castle was second runner-up; Miss Hockessin Brittany Lewis of Wilmington was third runner-up, and Miss Capital Victoria T. Brown-O’Brien of Dover was fourth runner-up.
Rebecca Lusk, Miss Cape Henlopen, was named Miss Spirit. She received a Miss America Academic $1,000 scholarship, won a top three community service finalist scholarship and was a People's Choice Winner, which made her a top 11 finalist.
