Edna Weisel, retired school teacher

Edna Weisel, 102, of Rehoboth Beach, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at her esidence in Rehoboth Beach.   She was born in Saxton, Pa., Dec. 29, 1910, daughter of the late Jesse A. Sweet and Lillian Stapelton Sweet.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Corle Weisel, in 1983.
Mrs. Weise received her bachelor of science degee in education from the University of Pennsylvania.  She retired in 1977 as a teacher for the Prince Georges County School District. Her memberships included Epworth United Methodist Church and the  New Life Thrift Shop.   Traveling extensively throughout the United States and abroad was one of her past-times, however, her love of Rehoboth Beach always brought her back home.
Surviving is her son William Sweet Weisel of  Healdsburg, Calif.
A celebration of her life gathering will occur at her late residence in Camelot Sunday July 7, from 2 to 4  p.m.
